Consol Energy donates $5,000 for the mining program at Hazard Community & Technical College. Shown above, from left, are: Craig Campbell and Vance Arnold with Consol; HCTC President Jay K. Box; and Jennifer Chester, Dean of Community Development. Campbell said the gift to HCTC represents their belief in education. He thanked Dr. Box and Ms. Chester for the training that is being conducted for coal miners. HCTC is currently expanding its mining technology program including certificates and degrees available in coal careers. HCTC has invested in state of the art maintenance training panels, as well as equipment simulators to assist in preparing workers for the coal industry.
