CKBC says the region's blood supply could be in critical condition by Dec. 25, but participation from communities could not only help save a life, but also get them a chance to win a University of Kentucky Football Bowl Game Package.
This Dec. 15 will provide an exciting incentive for donors to give blood at Highlands Regional Medical Center. Donors may visit the conference room at HRMC from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. to donate and register for a chance to win the game package, which includes two tickets to the Dec. 29 Music City Bowl featuring the Cats against the Clemson Tigers. It will also include a two-night stay at the Renaissance Hotel in downtown Nashville, a invitation to an exclusive party for fans and a $50 gas card to help on the trip. The winner will be drawn on Dec. 18.
"If you're a UK fan you'll want to get in on the action when the Cats play in their first Bowl game in seven years", said Dan Dickson, CKBC Communications Director. "Give blood and you could be our guests to cheer on the Cats in person in Nashville".
As always, donors must present a photo ID, be at least 17 years of age, weigh a minimum of 110 pounds and be in good physical health. In addition to donating and registering for the bowl game package, every donor will receive the Blood Center's holiday t-shirt.
