EASTERN - The Adams Middle School Blackcats traveled to Allen Central Middle School Thursday for a trio of boys’ basketball games.
In the A-team game, Adams Middle won 40-33, improving to 5-1 overall. Adams was led in scoring by Alex Griffith, who fired in a game-high 17 points and also had double figures in rebounding. Nate Fraley poured in six points for Adams and Wil Allen added five. Warren Blackburn and Seth Carter each had four points for the Blackcats. Joseph Jamerson rounded out the scoring for Adams with two points.
Braxton Tackett led the Rebels with 12 points. Micah Harlow added eight points and Jacob Prater scored five for the Rebels.
In the B-team game, the Rebels rolled over the Blackcats with a convincing 48-28 win. Braxton Tackett led Allen Central with 17 points. Micah Harlow added 12 points for the host Rebels.
Joseph Jamerson scored 13 points to lead Adams and Wes Robinson pumped in 9 points for the Blackcats.
Adams also won the C-team contest. The Adams C-Team, following the win, improved to 4-3.
