Woman charged in bomb threat

PRESTONSBURG — Prestonsburg City Police say they have arrested Stacy L. El Harrab of Thelma on charges of terroristic threatening after a bomb threat at Big Sandy Community and Technical College over the weekend.

According to Prestonsburg Police, the 911 call center received a call at approximately 8:30 a.m. Saturday from a female saying there was a bomb in the Morehead Building on the BSCTC campus. Responders with Prestonsburg fire and police departments were dispatched to the scene and classrooms were evacuated for about two hours until the situation was resolved.

El Harrab was arrested at the school and charged with felony terroristic threatening.

The case is still under investigation by Det. Sgt. Steve Little with the Prestonsburg Police Department.
