PRESTONSBURG - The Floyd County Sheriff's Department raided a marijuana-growing operation Saturday, confiscating four pounds of illegal plants.

Nadine Gayheart, 39, of Wheelwright, was arrested Saturday and charged with possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and resisting arrest.

The Sheriff's Department also made other arrests, which included John Hicks of Bulan and Tracy Malone, Travis Smith and Joseph Engle, each from Talcum located in Perry County.

According to Sheriff John K. Blackburn, the plants were valued between $6,000 and $7,000.
