HI HAT - Ashley Castle poured in 20 points and nine other Lady Raiders produced points Wednesday night as host South Floyd Middle rolled to a 48-8 win over visiting Allen Elementary. Host South Floyd managed to hold Allen scoreless in both the second and fourth quarters. South Floyd jumped on Allen early, vaulting out of the first with ahead 16-4. Castle, who saw limited action for the Lady Raiders, especially in the fourth quarter, scored the majority of her points in the first half. South Floyd, which outscored Allen in each of the first three quarters, packed a commanding 33-4 lead into halftime. After halftime, South Floyd picked right up where it had left off before the intermission, outscoring Allen 13-4 in the third quarter. Castle was the only South Floyd player to reach double figures. Chelsie Tuttle just missed double figures in the points department for the Lady Raiders, finishing with nine markers. Heather Little was South Floyd's third-leading scorer, finishing with four points. Sabrina Moore made good on a shot from beyond the arc and added three points for the Lady Raiders. Meshena Ray, Whitney Hall, Gabby Bailey, Kiana Hall, Chelsea Slone and Allyson Tafts chipped in with two points apiece for South Floyd. Kristian Waugh paced the Allen scoring effort with six points. Brittany Hurd added two points for the Lady Eagles.
