Daniel Dexter Boggs, age 59, of East Point, passed away Friday, July 7, 2006, at the Pikeville Medical Center.
He was born December 20, 1946, at East Point, the son of the late Edgar Boggs and Lou Ella Music Boggs. He was a coal mining supervisor for (CAM), a member of the Hager Hill Freewill Baptist Church, a member of the East Point Masonic Lodge, and a U.S. Army Vietnam War veteran, with achievement of Expert (Machine Gun), Marksman (Rifle), National Defense Service Medal, Good Conduct Medal, Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal, Marksman (M-16 Rifle), Vietnam Service Medal with one Bronze Service Star, and Combat Infantryman Badge.
Survivors include his companion, Phyllis Prater Dotson of East Point; a daughter, Elizabeth (Neil) Ashley Boggs Capper of Clemson, South Carolina; two step-children, Leann George and Kevin Dotson, both of Prestonsburg; a brother, Ed Boggs, of East Point; three sisters, Wanda Webb of East Point, Phyllis (LeMayne) Dingus of Martin, and Elaine (J.P.) Short, of Paintsville; six step-grandchildren, Emma George, Lucas George, Mason Holbrook, Austin Holbrook, Chase Dotson, and Conor Dotson.
Preceding him in death were his parents; a sister, Patsy Williams; and a brother-in-law, Tom Webb.
Funeral services for Daniel Dexter Boggs were conducted Monday, July 10, at noon, at the Hall Funeral Home Chapel in Martin, with Clergyman Ronnie Spriggs officiating.
Burial was in Gethsemane Gardens, in Prestonsburg, under the professional care of Hall Funeral Home.
Visitation was at the funeral home.
Pallbearers: Danny Webb, Rick Spradlin, Chris Boggs, Mike Williams, Randy Boggs, and Joe Spradlin.
Bill Joel Crisp
Bill Joel Crisp, 79, of Martin, died Sunday, July 9, 2006, at his residence.
Born February 6, 1927, in Martin, he was the son of the late Edd Crisp and Mattie Conley Crisp. He was a disabled truck driver, for Wright Lumber Co., and a member of Faith Bible Church.
He is survived by his wife, Katherine Stephens Crisp.
Other survivors include a son: Dennis Joel (Elda) of Richmond; a daughter: Billie Joan (Dr. Terry Wright) of Prestonsburg; two brothers: Donald Crisp, and David Crisp; both of Martin; eight grandchildren: Nathan, Stephanie, Allison, Courtney, Nikki, Cristina, Drew, and Olivia; and several step-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Stephen Crisp; a daughter, Sandra Crisp; three brothers: Randolph Crisp, James Herbert Crisp, and Carl Crisp; and a sister, Imogene Crisp.
Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, July 12, at 11 a.m., at the Nelson-Frazier Funeral Home, in Martin, with James Stephens officiating.
Burial will be in the Crisp Cemetery, at Bucks Branch, in Martin, under the direction of Nelson-Frazier Funeral Home.
Visitation is at the funeral home.

Clarence P. Eng-land, age 88, passed away, Sunday, July 9, 2006, in Michigan, with his children at his bedside.
Beloved son of the late Thomas England, and Anne E. Spelock Tackett.
Dear father of Shirley and Roger, Brenda, Anne, Cynthia, Jacqueline, Jeffrey, and Pamela. He had 12 grandchildren, and 16 great-grandchildren.
He has been battling Alzheimers for 10 years. It has been a long battle for our father. He will be missed very much by family and very best friend, Alb Lawson.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, July 13, at 10 a.m., at Sajewski Funeral Home, 19111 W. Warren, Detroit Michigan.
Visitation is Wednesday, July 12, from 1 to 9.
Alexis Ann Hall
Alexis Ann Hall, infant daughter of Robert Hall and Sally Vance, both of Prestonsburg, died Friday, July 7, 2006, at Highlands Regional Medical Center, in Prestonsburg.
She was born July 7, 2006, in Prestonsburg.
Survivors, in addition to her parents, include two sisters: Katelyn Fraley and Haley Slone, both of Allen; her paternal grandfather: Bobby Eugene Hall of Prestonsburg; her maternal grandparents: Larry and Patricia Vance of Allen; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her, paternal grandmother, Bonnie Fraley Hall.
Funeral services were conducted, Sunday, July 9, at 2 p.m. at the Nelson-Frazier Funeral Home, in Martin, with Alan Miller officiating.
Burial was in the Fraley Cemetery at Jenny Wiley, in Prestonsburg.
Visitation was at the funeral home.
Tony “Henry” “Cud” Hall
Tony “Henry” “Cud” Hall, 70, of Emma, died Saturday, July 8, 2006, at Highlands Regional Medical Center, in Prestonsburg.
Born May 27, 1936, in Water Gap, he was the son of the late William Hall and the late Pearlie Prater Hall Hurd. He was a self-employed tree cutter; and attended the Community Trinity Church, in Maggoffin County.
He is survived by his wife, Ada Lou Howard Hall.
Other survivors include two sons: Tony Eugene Hall of Prestonsburg, and John Hall of Kendallville, Indiana; eight daughters: Ada Frances Poe of Prestonsburg, Mary Frances Mills of Brimfield, Indiana, Donna Kay Cole of Allen, Gloria Powers of Auxier, Lisa Cain of Richmond, Naoma Spradlin of Auxier, Michelle Lou Evans of Bull Creek; and Goldie Spears of Emma; three brothers: James Hall, Frank Hall, and Floyd Hall, all of Indiana; two sisters: Mary Allen Kendrick and Naoma Wagner, both of Indiana; 18 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren
In additon to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son: Tony Hall Jr.; a brother: William Hall; and a sister: Martha Ancil.

Albert Ralph (Monroe) Osborne
Albert Ralph (Monroe) Osborne, 56, of Prestonsburg, died Monday, July 10, 2006, at Highlands Regional Medical Center, in Prestonsburg.
Born April 2, 1950, in Pike County, he was the son of Douglas Osborne of Hunter, and the late Hazel Skeens Osborne. He was a disabled communications worker.
He is survived by his wife, Diana Crisp Osborne.
Other survivors include two Sons: Anthony Todd Osborne of Prestonsburg, and Mikele Andrew Osborne (Iva) of Hager Hill; three brothers: Frank, Paul, and Melvin; and four sisters: Liza, Ruby, Verda, and Alpha; four step-grandchildren, and nine step-great-grandchildren

Cladie Spears
Cladie Spears, 90, of Prestonsburg, died Saturday, July 8, at Highlands Regional Medical Center, in Prestonsburg.
Born March 27, 1916, in Floyd County, she was the daughter of the late Willie and Rosie Kendrick Goble. She was a homemaker, and a member of the Freewill Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Willie “Otto” Elmer Spears.
Survivors include four sons: Darvin K. Spears (Norma), Jack Spears (Ann), Johnny Spears (Ruth), and Herbert Spears (Andrea), all of Prestonsburg; two daughters: Ollie Jean Calhoun and Dorothy Lafferty (Clinton), both of Prestonsburg; three brothers: Richard Scott Goble of Michigan, Howard Goble of Elizabethtown, and Argie Goble of Indiana; two sisters: Elsie Burchett and Emogene Ward, both of Prestonsburg; 11 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren
In addition to her parents, and husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Eugene Spears; four brothers: Estill Goble, E. J. Goble, Leon Goble, and Joe Frank Goble; a sister, Junie Mae Goble; a great-grandchild, Destiny; and a son-in-law, Gordon Calhoun.
Funeral services were conducted Tuesday, July 11, at 1 p.m., at the Nelson-Frazier Funeral Home in Martin, with Brent Tackett and Nathan Lafferty officiating.
Burial was in the Spears Cemetery, at Ruff & Tuff Branch, in Prestonsburg, under the direction of Nelson-Frazier Funeral Home.
