Children from Floyd County attended the Kentucky Sheriffs' Boys & Girls Ranch during the week of June 18, in Gilbertsville. The ranch is a non-profit organization, serving Kentucky children between the ages of 8 and 11, through a summer camping program designed to build self-esteem and teach respect for self, others, and law enforcement professionals. The camp is free to campers, thanks to the dedication and support of Kentucky sheriffs, law enforcment members and contributors. Pictured are Floyd County campers Caseton Adkins, Shane Webb, and Adrian Neely with Counselors Jessica Howard and Daniel Smith, Pike County Deputy Jackie James, and Albert Keesee, of Pike County. Floyd County Sherrif John K. Blackburn selected the campers and the Pike County Sheriff's Office transported them to the ranch. For more information about the Boys & Girls Ranch, call 270-362-8660.
