Sola Tackett Williams, age 74, of Printer, widow of the late Ballard Williams, passed away Tuesday, November 15, 2005, at her residence. She was born August 8, 1931 in Grethel, the daughter of the late Sheridan Tackett and Sarah Hall Tackett. She was a homemaker and a member of the Old Beaver Regular Baptist Church, in Minnie. Survivors include five sons: Edgar Williams of Stanville, Clinton Williams of Prestonsburg, and Hank Williams, Tracy Williams and Paul Williams all of Printer; 10 daughters: Phyllis Latta of Indiana, Palestine Gibson of Harold, Audrey Stanley, Clara Williams, Patricia Williams, and Marie Crum all of Banner, Misty Tackett, Melinda Kay Greer, and Anna Akers, all of Printer, and Emma Jean Williams of Prestonsburg; five brothers: Joe Tackett, Walker Tackett, and Earl Tackett, all of Kendallville, Indiana, Charlie Tackett of Lexington, and Robert Tackett of Springfield, Ohio; one sister, Gertie Bowling of Kendallville, Indiana; 35 grandchildren, 47 great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren. Preceding her in death were her husband and parents; one son, Ballard Ray Williams; five brothers: Lee Hunter, Jay Tackett, Freel Tackett, Garrett Tackett, and Johnny Tackett; and a sister, Ruthie Hunter. Funeral services for Sola Tackett Williams will be conducted Friday, November 18, at 10 a.m., at the Old Beaver Regular Baptist Church, in Minnie, with Old Regular Baptist ministers officiating. Burial will follow in the Williams Cemetery, in Harold, under the professional care of the Hall Funeral Home, in Martin. Visitation, at the church, with nightly services at 6:30 p.m.
