ALLEN – Veteran Dirt Late Model driver Brandon Kinzer recently returned to competition. The Kinzer Motorsports team opened up its highly-anticipated 2011 season on Saturday, April 16 at Smoky Mountain Speedway in Maryville, Tennessee. The Southern All-Stars Dirt Racing Series (SAS) sanctioned a a $5,000--to-win feature at the eastern Tennessee speedplant. Kinzer, an Allen native, finished fourth in his B-Main to gain access into the Smoky Mountain Spring 50. He later rolled off 17th on the starting grid. The Floyd Countian moved forward during the course of the 50-lap feature race as he improved three positions to finish 14th in the final rundown.
