PIKEVILLE – The Pikeville College women's golf team has signed a top prospect from Rockcastle County High School.

Kristen Bullock, a talented golfer who hails from Brodhead, is the daughter of Shane and Paula Bullock.

Bullock has a tremendous junior golf career as she participated on the Rockcastle County's golf team for five seasons, leading the team to a third-place finish in the region this year. Last summer Kristen played on several tours including the Pepsi Tour where she had three first-place finishes, one second-place finish, and three third-place finishes. Kristen finished third overall in the points standings out of 40 participants.

Academically Bullock is an excellent student who has a 3.89 GPA and currently ranks 24th out of 190 students in her class at Rockcastle County. She is involved in several clubs and organizations including FFA, FCA, UNITE, PRIDE, and ROCKET. Kristen has been an officer in FFA for three years and was the regional and chapter public speaker contest also the last three years.

“Kristen is excited about being a part of the Pikeville College family and plans on majoring in communication,” said Pikeville College Coach Nelson Scott. “Pikeville College will give Kristen a chance to have a quality education and still participate in the sport she loves.”
