PRESTONSBURG — A Pike County woman was arrested this week and charged with first-degree promoting contraband, after she allegedly tried to sneak suboxone into the Floyd County Detention Center for her husband.

According to jail officials, Brianna Maynard was arrested and charged with first-degree promoting contraband, after deputy jailers found suboxone and tobacco sewn into a towel that was delivered by Maynard to her husband John Maynard.

Maynard was charged and detained at the Floyd County Detention Center, before bonding out of jail on a $2,000 cash bond.
