Von Moore, 71, of Wayland, died Friday, March 1, 2013.

He was born June 7, 1941, to the late Troy and Annie Slone Moore. Von was the husband of Lucille McCoy Moore and self-employed in the lawn care business.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter Mandy Ella Moore; two brothers, Beverage Moore and Martin Moore; and two sisters, Kathleen Moore Lee and Vernie Moore.

He is survived by his daughter, Edie (Larry) Moore-North; brothers, Everett Moore, Orville Moore, Marvin Moore and Mennifee “Duke” Moore; grandchildren, Kayla (Blake) Moore-Foley and Kody Blake Little; great grandson, Bryceton Foley; special friends, Steve Crowder and family; and special great nephew, Johnathan Moore.

Funeral services will be held at noon, Wednesday, March 6, at Nelson Frazier Funeral Home, in Martin. Burial will follow the service at the Slone-Pigman Cemetery, at Dana.
