PIKEVILLE — Kentucky State Police Post 9 has added two new members to its cadre of state troopers.

Dustin Thompson and Justin Wireman reported for their new duties Monday, just three days after completing training.

Thompson and Wireman were bother previously Commercial Vehicle Enforcement officers who took part in the 11-week KSP Accelerated Training Program.

Both Thompson, a Johnson County native, and Wireman, a Magoffin County native, have been assigned patrols in Johnson, Martin and Magoffin counties.
