EASTERN - The Allen C-Team won the Right Beaver Classic title Thursday evening, doubling up Betsy Layne 30-15 in the championship game at Allen Central High School’s J.E. Campbell Arena.
Allen set the tone early, outscoring Betsy Layne 16-0 in the opening quarter. The Lady Eagles led 22-1 at halftime.
Kassie Jarvis led Allen with a game-high 18 points. Allie Jarvis, Kaitlyn Newsome and Reesce Endicott rounded out the Allen scoring with four points apiece.
Allen shot 47-percent (15-of-32) from the field. Endicott dished out a game-high five assists for the Lady Eagles.
Allen owned a 24-3 lead at the close of the third quarter.
Betsy Layne was seven-of-13 from the field in the loss.
The Lady Cats did most of their scoring late, outscoring Allen 12-6 in the final quarter.
The Allen girls’ basketball program also captured Right Beaver Classic B- and A-team titles.
