MOREHEAD – The Morehead State University men’s basketball game at Tennessee State on Feb. 28 will be televised live by ESPNU. Tip-off from the Gentry Center in Nashville is now set for 7 p.m. ET.

“We’re excited about this opportunity on ESPNU,” Head Coach Sean Woods said. “National-television appearances are great exposure for our program, athletic department and university.”

The nationally-televised contest will feature two of last year’s top three Ohio Valley Conference squads. It is one of 10 league games on the ESPN Family of Networks during the 2012-13 season.

ESPNU will televise OVC tilts on Jan. 5, 24, Feb. 2, 7, 14, 28 and March 2. Both semifinals (ESPNU) and the championship (ESPN2) of the 2013 OVC Tournament will also be shown nationally.

ESPNU is a 24-hour college sports television network, which launched in 2005. It airs more than 650 live events each year and is available nationwide in approximately 73 million households.

“Millions of people will have the chance to watch two quality college basketball programs on Feb. 28,” Woods added. “It should be a great night for our families, friends, recruits, alumni and fans.”

MSU will host Morehead Hysteria at Johnson Arena on Oct. 25 at 7 p.m. ET. The annual event is free of charge and will feature both Eagle basketball teams, along with the MSU cheerleaders.

MSU will open exhibition play at home on Nov. 3 against St. Catharine (Ky.). The Eagles will then begin regular-season action on Nov. 9 versus LIU Brooklyn at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, N.Y.
