Mattie A. Franklin Hall, age 95 of Bypro, wife of the late Everitt Hall, passed away Sunday, Sept. 9, 2012, at the McDowell ARH, at McDowell.

She was born July 19, 1917, at Crafts Colley, the daughter of the late Wilson and Sarah Jane Webb Franklin. She was the former owner of Mattie’s Market, a retired merchant, member of Wheelwright Freewill Baptist Church and Order of Eastern Star #477 Charter Member.

Mattie is survived by a son, Raymond E. Hall, of Cocoa, Fla.; a daughter, Barbara Hall (Ronald) Gullett, of Bypro; a daughter-in-law, Shirley Rose Hall, of Monticello; nine grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; and six great-great grandchildren.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Robert E. Hall; a daughter-in-law, Kazuko Hall; and 12 brothers and sisters.

Funeral services for Mattie A. Franklin Hall will be held at 11 a.m., Wednesday, Sept. 12, at the Wheelwright Freewill Baptist Church, with Louie Ferrari officiating. Burial will follow in the Buckingham Cemetery, at Bevinsville.

Visitation will be held all day Tuesday, at the church.
