Two high school students at the June Buchanan School picked up first-place awards during regional academic competition.

Channing Everidge and Ian T. Hall both picked up top honors in their respective categories at the KAAC Regional Governor’s Cup Competition, held at Estill County High School.

Everidge placed first in Arts & Humanities, while Hall took top honors in Language Arts. Both students will advance to State Competition to be held at the Galt House in Louisville on March 16-18.

The duo’s performance helped JBS earned fourth place overall in the region.
