PRESTONSBURG - From day one, the Pop’s Chevrolet Hillbilly Arm Drop Drags has been a fan-friendly event and an event for those of all ages. The 2013 Pop’s Chevrolet Hillbilly Arm Drop Drags will be held May 10-11 at Paintsville-Prestonsburg-Combs Field Airport and Event Coordinator Kent Rose remains busy. Among many other things, Rose is acquiring items to give away during the event. Yes, give away.

Hot Wheels and Big Wheels will once again be given away during the upcoming drag racing event. And so will Green Machine Big Wheels. All of those have been highly popular with children during the previous local drag racing events. But there’s bigger items in the mix for the May 10-11 edition of the Pop’s Chevrolet Hillbilly Arm Drop Drags.

A Honda 50, Honda Rancher 400 and Honda Foreman 500 will also be given away during the 2013 Pop’s Chevrolet Hillbilly Arm Drop Drags.

“We keep building the Pop’s Chevrolet Hillbilly Arm Drop Drags every day,” Rose said. “This is truly an event for everyone.”

Admission for the Hillbilly Arm Drop Drags is set at $10 per spectator; $15 per pit pass and $35 per racer. Kids 12 and under will be admitted free.

To better accommodate racers, he Pop’s Chevrolet Hillbilly Arm Drop Drags has added two classes - Front Wheel Drive and All-Wheel Drive. The first 250 racers to register for the May event will receive driver bags and T-shirts. Each of the first 50 racers to register will receive a dash plaque.
