Floyd County Students were recognized this week after earning high marks at a recent academic competition.

Floyd County Superintendent Henry Webb announceed the results of the Kentucky Colonels Sixth Grade Showcase, an academic team competition. This competition included the following schools: Adams Middle, Allen Central Middle, Inez Middle, Warfield Middle and Wesley Christian School.

“We’re glad to see that the Kentucky Association for Academic Competition recognizes the need to give opportunities for our sixth grade students to demonstrate their knowledge and skills,” said Webb. “These kids and their coaches work hard to prepare for these competitions and their results are showing that dedication.”
