Charles Newsome, 66, of Martin, died Sunday, July 8, 2012, at Highlands Regional Medical Center.

He was born Feb. 17, 1946, to the late Alvin and Nannie Newsome. He was the husband of Bonnie Sue Crum Newsome.

He was preceded in death by brothers and sisters, Delmar Newsome, Palmer Newsome, Ellis Newsome, Ershal Newsome, Ronnie Newsome and Evelyn “Peachie” Adkins.

He is survived by two sons, Charles Dwight Newsome, of Indiana, and James Arnold Newsome, of Wisconsin; two brothers, Bobby Ray Newsome, of Teaberry, and James Newsome, of Betsy Layne; four sisters, Clara Morris and Roberta Miller, both of Teaberry, Martha Reynolds, of Medway, Ohio, and Cindy Hamilton, of Grethel; and six grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Wednesday, July 11, at Nelson Frazier Funeral Home, in Martin, with Larry Castle, Bobby “Bud” Crum and Billy Compton officiating.

Burial will follow the service in the Orville Crum Memorial Cemetery, in Martin.
