Bobby Joe Kidd, 64, of Harold, died Tuesday, Feb. 5, 2013, at Kings Daughters Medical Center.

He was born April 28, 1948, in Pikeville to the late Lee and Della Boyd Kidd. He was the husband of Sheila Cecil Kidd. Bobby was a disabled American veteran and a member of the Sammy Clark Freewill Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by three brothers, Earl Kidd, Lee Kidd Jr. and James Kidd, and two sisters, Eloise Adkins and Agnes “Sissy” Davis.

He is survived by a son, Tyler Kidd, of Dema; a daughter, Tammy Kidd Riddle, of Betsy Layne; three stepsons, Michael Eugene Rose and Matthew Thomas Rose, both of Morristown, Tenn.; and Dexter B. Spurlock, of Honaker; two brothers, Harold “Duck” Kidd and Hershel Kidd, both of Dana; three sisters, Offie Jarrell, of Dana, Gail Harvey, of Honaker, and Phyllis Newsome, of Frankfort; five grandchildren, Michael Anthony, Byron Wade, Bryson Alexander, Savanna Nicole, Reece Curtis; and one grandchild on the way, Tensley Jaden.

Funeral services will be held at 1 pm., Saturday, Feb. 9, at Sammy Clark Freewill Baptist Church, in Dana, with Shane Powers officiating. Burial will follow the service at Boyd-Kidd Cemetery in Dana.
