MOREHEAD – Brooke Todd, a 6-3 forward from Lexington, has signed a National Letter of Intent to join the Morehead State University women’s basketball program.

Todd will be coached by her father, Greg, who is beginning his first year in the lead role at MSU.

“I look forward to seeing Brooke develop as a Division I player,” the elder Todd said. “I feel her ability to run the floor, rebound and block shots will add depth in our post this year.”

A product of Paul Laurence Dunbar High School, Todd averaged 13.1 points, 12.7 rebounds and 5.9 blocks per game as a senior for Head Coach Sarah Bridenbaugh. She ranked third in the state in rebounds as a senior.

Todd finished her career with 944 points, 906 rebounds and 390 blocked shots. She holds Dunbar records for career blocks, single-season blocks (195) and single-game blocks (13). In the state record book, she is fifth in single-season rejections, sixth in single-game swats and 12th in career turnaways.

As a senior in 2013-14, she was named WKYT-TV’s Player of the Year and the Kentucky Association of Basketball Coaches Region 11 Player of the Year. Todd earned 11th Region All-Tournament accolades as a junior and senior and was a member of the all-tournament squad at the state Sweet 16 Championship in 2011-12.

Todd also earned WKYT Scholastic Ball Report Athlete of the Week nods as a junior and senior and was named a Scholar-Athlete by Lexington Family Magazine in 2013-14.

She was a two-time selection (2012-13 and 2013-14) to the Kentucky-Indiana All-Star Game and also earned a roster spot in the Kentucky-Ohio All-Star Game her final season.
