PIPPA PASSES - Alice Lloyd College junior Carla Booth was named the KIAC women’s basketball player of the week by conference officials on Monday.

Alice Lloyd College finished the week 2-0 after defeating Brescia University 109-92 on the road and Indiana University Southeast 83-61 at home. Booth finished the week averaging 24 points, 3.5 rebounds, 4.5 assists and 1.5 steals. She connected on 65.4 percent (17-of-26) of her field goal attempts. A former Kentucky All-Star, Booth also shot 64.3 percent (9-of-14) from beyond the 3-point line. In the win over Brescia, Booth tallied 28 points, foiur rebounds and three assists. The Sheldon Clark High School graduate ended the week with 20 points, 3 rebounds and 6 assists in the win against IU Southeast.

Currently, Booth is fourth in the KIAC in points per game (18.58) and third in assists per game (5.26).

The Eagles are 13-7 overall and 8-3 in the conference play. Alice Lloyd will visit Cincinnati Christian University on Saturday.
