BETSY LAYNE - Brandy Morrow scored a game-high 16 points and Katie Tackett contributed 10 as Betsy Layne beat visiting Piarist School 54-26 in a 58th District/Floyd County conference game on Tuesday.

With the win, Betsy Layne improved to 6-11 overall and 4-1 in the district. Betsy Layne notched its second straight win, claiming a victory for the third time in four outings.

With the loss, Piarist dropped to 4-8 overall and 2-3 in the district. Piarist suffered its second straight loss.

Finishing one shot short of reaching double figures, Kaitlin Kidd contributed eight points for the Ladycats.

Nine different Betsy Layne players broke into the scoring column. Chloe Johnson scored six points and Emily Kidd contributed five for the Ladycats. Jordan Adkins scored three points, while Eddi Akers, Megan Frazier and Kelsi Tackett tossed in two apiece for Betsy Layne in the convincing win.

In the final month of the regular-season, Betsy Layne has games scheduled versus Allen Central, Shelby Valley, Pike County Central, South Floyd, Johnson Central, Magoffin County, Belfry, East Ridge, Letcher County Central and Jenkins.
