PAINTSVILLE — The family of Revolutionary War veteran Richard Wells, who was born in 1760 and died in 1838, and his wife, Susannah Hutchison Wells, will meet for tehir annual family reunion, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Sept. 1, at Johnson Central High School.


Everyone is welcome to attend the reunion and get to know their extended family. Guests are asked to bring their favorite food, with enough for their family and some extra to share with cousins traveling long distances.


There will be an auction, and guests are encouraged to bring items for the auction, since the proceeds will go toward reunion costs.


There will be a memorial service for those members who have passed since last year’s reunion.


The Historical Committee will have the history of the Wells family for sale, and John B. Wells III, who wrote the book, will be there to give a genalogical workshop and explain the book of the Wells family heritage.
