LOUISA — Plans have been made to hold the Miss and Miss Teen Lawrence County Septemberfest Pageant on Thursday evening, Sept. 5, at 7 p.m., in the Louisa Middle School prior to the festivities of the Lawrence County’s Septemberfest Celebration.


The Miss Lawrence County Septemberfest Pageant is open to any single young lady of the area who has reached her 16th birthday by Oct. 31, and hasn’t reached her 22nd birthday by Oct. 31. The required ages of the Miss Teen Pageant are between the age 13 by Oct. 31, and have not reached age 16 by Oct. 31 as of the year the pageant is held.


Participants will be judged according to the following categories: Evening Gown, Sportswear, Interview, Poise, Personality, Beauty and overall personal abilities and qualities that they project. There will be no competitions in talent and swimsuit.


Registration fee is $40. Applications will be due by Friday, Aug. 30. However, an application may be submitted after the deadline with additional late fee of $10 required in cash. Applications can be accepted at the door of the day of the pageant no later than 5 p.m.


A Miss Photogenic category will be featured in each age group with a $25 entry fee.


Applications can also be obtained by contacting one of the above individuals or through the following establishments: Inez Deposit Bank, FSB - Ginger Copley, Three Rivers Medical Center – Patton R. Hart or Lara’s Bridals & Formals in Ashland.


River Cities DeMolay Chapter is the sponsor of the 2013 Miss and Miss Teen Lawrence County Septemberfest Pageant.
