PRESTONSBURG — A Floyd County grand jury returned indictments against 10 people this week.


Those indicted include:


• Billy Gene Hunt, 35, two counts of theft by unlawful taking.


• Angela K. Osborne, 40, promoting contraband.


• Bradley Newsome, 30, theft by unlawful taking (auto), theft by unlawful taking (shoplifting), attempted theft by unlawful taking (shoplifting), first-degree wanton endangerment.


• Randall Akers, 37, theft by unlawful taking (auto), theft by unlawful taking (shoplifting), attempted theft by unlawful taking (shoplifting), first-degree wanton endangerment.


• Jerry L. Maynard, 27, three counts of second-degree possession of a forged instrument.


• Jeremy Carr, 28, driving on a DUI-suspended license, driving under the influence, possession of marijuana.


• Sheila Lee, 65, receiving stolen property.


• Anthony Gillespie, 25, first-degree robbery, persistent felony offender.


• Kelly R. Key, 26, first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance, third-degree trafficking in a controlled substance, public intoxication.


• Brandon Hurt, 27, first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance, third-degree trafficking in a controlled substance, public intoxication.


An indictment is not an indication of guilt, but merely a determination by a grand jury that criminal charges merit a full court hearing.
