The Big Sandy Long-Term Care Ombudsman Program held its annual Volunteer Appreciation and Training Banquet on Tuesday, May 6, at Big Sandy Area Development District.

All attending volunteers received a gift of appreciation. Training was provided by Stacy Carey of Adult Protective Services.

In attendance were Leslie Caudill, Liz Hamilton, Steve Jones, Misty Pugh, Deborah Castle Daniel, Donna K Frazier, Bertha Daniels, Linda Webb, Rosa Young and Jaime Welch.

The ombudsman program is currently seeking volunteers who are interested in serving as advocates for residents of local nursing homes, personal care homes, and family care homes.
