LEXINGTON — A Prestonsburg High School freshman was selected from singers statewide to perform the national anthem, during the Boys’ Sweet Sixteen basketball tournament next week.
Ally Davis will perform at noon, Thursday, March 20, before what is expected to be a packed Rupp Arena.
“The board team and I congratulate Ally on this accomplishment and hope that everyone has a chance to hear her sing,” Floyd County Supt. Henry Webb said. “We heard Ally sing at a board meeting last year and are amazed with the talent this young lady has.”
Davis previously performed in the Kentucky Music Educators Association All-State Chorus in February.
Davis is the daughter of Barry and Betty Davis, of Banner.
