Hazard High School’s Homecoming week kicked off on Sunday, and will conclude Friday evening.


This year’s theme is “The Tradition Lives On,” and students will participate in several activities including decorating their respective hallways and constructing floats for the parade scheduled for Friday. Jeff Strong has been selected as the parade Grand Marshal. Jeff is Hazard graduate and is a loyal supporter of Hazard High School, attending every event and photographing the activities of Hazard students.


The following is list of this week’s activities leading up to the crowning ceremony on Friday:

Candidate Dinner 6 p.m.


Powder Puff Football 8 p.m.


* Friday Spirit Day


o Parade 4 p.m.


o Candidate Pictures 6 p.m.


o Kickoff Hazard vs Jenkins 7 p.m.


o Crowning Ceremony Halftime


o Dance following the game
