JOHNS CREEK — Emergency responders from two counties converged on the Floyd-Johnson county line, Monday afternoon, following an injury accident on Route 321.
The wreck occurred around 2 p.m., when a Chevy Impala was struck from behind by a Chevy Silverado pickup, just short of the Johns Creek bridge. Although both vehicles ended up just a few feet shy of entering Floyd County, crews from both counties were called out to the wreck.
The female driver of the Impala was ultimately taken by ambulance to Highlands Regional Medical Center.
Auxier Volunteer Fire Department, West Van Lear Volunteer Fired Department, the Johnson County Rescue Squad, Trans Star Ambulance and Kentucky State Police all responded to the scene.
