The new Tug Valley Lions Club is pictured making apple butter on Saturday morning in West Williamson. Bill Rosen, left, and David Jewell, right, were at it early at the parking lot of Coalfield CAP. For years the Williamson Lions Club made apple butter for the annual King Coal Festival. After a brief hiatus, the new chartered club is bringing back the tradition. They will have a booth during the festival this Saturday in downtown Williamson. The cost of the fresh apple butter is $6 a pint. Lesley Rosen and other club members helped with making the sweet treat throughout the day.
