PRESTONSBURG — A second man has been charged in the January robbery of an Eastern convenience store.
William Woods, 28, has been charged with complicity to second-degree burglary and tampering with physical evidence. The charges were served on him at the Lexington-Fayette County Jail, where he has been held since April on receiving stolen property, assault and drug charges.
Police say Woods and two other men robbed the Fast Lane store at knifepoint Jan. 14, getting away with $500. Woods is also charged with burning physical evidence from the crime.
Only one of the two men allegedly accompanying Woods in the crime has been identified. Last month, Jordan K. Ward, 21, of Prestonsburg, was charged with second-degree robbery.
No one was injured during the robbery.
