COLUMBIA - Four Mid-South Conference teams continued to be ranked in the NAIA Men’s Tennis Coaches’ Top 25 Poll, NAIA officials announced on Tuesday.
Campbellsville (Ky.), Cumberland (Tenn.), Lindsey Wilson (Ky.) and Pikeville all are ranked this season with Cumberlands sitting just outside the top 25 but still receiving voting points.
Lindsey Wilson is the top-ranked Mid-South team as the Blue Raiders (4-1) sit at No. 6. Lindsey Wilson holds the No. 6 ranking for a fourth straight rating period after receiving 262 voting points from the national raters.
Cumberland slipped one spot this week and holds at No. 8 in the poll. The Bulldogs (1-4) received 237 voting points.
Pikeville fell two spots to No. 22. The Bears (5-4) - who are on a four-match winning streak - received 110 voting points from the national raters.
Campbellsville remained at No. 24 for a second straight rating period. The Tigers (6-3) garnered 76 voting points in the latest poll.
Cumberlands received 10 voting points from the national raters. The Patriots (6-3) have won six of seven after opening the season with two losses.
Embry-Riddle (Fla.) remains atop the national poll with 307 voting points and seven of the 12 first-place votes. Auburn Montgomery (Ala.) is No. 2 with 304 voting points and three first-place votes followed by No. 3 Georgia Gwinnett with 290 voting points and the final two first-place votes.
A panel of coaches representing the conferences, unaffiliated groups and the independents serve at the national raters.
The next national poll is scheduled to be announced on Tuesday, April 1.
