Kentucky Foundation for Women to hold ‘Arts Meets Activism’ grant workshop

PRESTONSBURG — The Kentucky Foundation for Women will hold a workshop for feminist artists on Saturday, Feb. 15, from 12:30 to 3:30 p.m., at the East Kentucky Science Center.

At this interactive workshop, participants will meet and build community with other artists, learn about KFW’s Arts Meets Activism program and other opportunities for feminist artists, and explore what it means to create social change through art.

At this interactive workshop, participants will:

• Meet and build community with other feminist artists and allies in the area

• Explore what it means to be a feminist social change artist

• Learn about KFW opportunities, such as KFW’s two grant programs, KFW’s retreat and residency program at Hopscotch House, and how to apply for KFW’s Art Meets Activism grant.

KFW Programs Associate Jenrose Fitzgerald will lead the workshop. The meeting is free and open to anyone committed to improving the lives of women and girls through art.
