Eagles split two games

PIPPA PASSES - The Alice Lloyd College men’s basketball team split games late last week, defeating St. Louis College of Pharmacy and dropping a game to Indiana University Southeast.

ALC 84, SLCOP 81: Alice Lloyd managed to slip past St. Louis College of Pharmacy on Friday, edging the Eutectics 84-81 at Asbury University in Wilmore.

The Eagles led 44-40 at halftime.

Tyler Rogers led Alice Lloyd with 14 points, eight rebounds and four blocks.

Tyler Brewer (13 points, five steals, four assists), Isaac Wilson (12 points), Jordan Adkins (12 points), Stuart Stamper (11 points, four assists) and Cody Stumbo (10 points, eight rebounds, three steals) also helped to lead the Eagles (9-7, 4-3 KIAC).

Dan Hemann paced the Eutectics (6-7, 0-2 KIAC) with 23 points and 13 rebounds.

Alice Lloyd’s free throw shooting saved the day as the Eagles went 21 of 26 (80.8 percent) from the charity stripe.

SLCOP struggled at the line, finishing 12-for-19 (63.2 percent).

IUS 92, ALC 75: Jake Simpson scored a game-high 22 points to lead host IU Southeast past Alice Lloyd on Saturday. IU Southeast defeated the Eagles 92-75.

The Grenadiers led 43-33 at intermission.

IU Southeast was 22 of 35 from the foul line.

With the win, IU Southeast improved to 13-3 overall and 7-0 in the KIAC.

For Alice Lloyd (9-8, 4-3 KIAC), Tyler Rogers produced a double-double, scoring 21 points and grabbing 12 rebounds. Jordan Adkins followed, tossing in 13 points for the Eagles.

Alice Lloyd was nine of 19 from the foul line in the loss.
