PRESTONSBURG – Highlands Health System is the parent company for Highlands Center for Autism, Highlands Foundation, Highlands Home Health, and Highlands Regional Medical Center (HRMC), a 166-licensed bed, community-owned hospital located in Prestonsburg. Highlands serves the Big Sandy region and has locations in Floyd, Johnson, Martin, and Magoffin counties.
Joining the Highlands Health System Board of Directors in 2014 is Mark E. McKenzie, of Johnson County. The Highlands Health System Board of Directors’ Chairman is Dewey L. Bocook, Jr., also from Johnson County. A long time member of the board, Bocook also sits on the Highlands Regional Medical Center Board of Trustees.
Joining the Highlands Regional Medical Center Board of Trustees is Sabrina Arnett, a Magoffin County native, and Chris Tackett, a Floyd County native, who both serve on the Highlands Foundation board as well.
Joining the Highlands Foundation Board of Directors is Mark E. McKenzie, Bob Shurtleff, of Pike County, and Lisa Veronneau, of Johnson County.
Assuming the role of Highlands Foundation Board of Directors’ Chairman for 2014 is Dennis T. Dorton. A native of Paintsville, Dorton also serves on the Highlands Health System Board of Directors as Vice-Chairman, and the Highlands Regional Medical Center Board of Trustees.
