PRESTONSBURG — Their song about wanting to go home made them a fan favorite on Country Music Television. Now they are going to fulfill the wish of that song, as Prestonsburg duo Sundy Best returns for a concert at the Mountain Arts Center.

Sundy Best — better known to locals as Kris Bentley and Nick Jamerson — will perform Jan. 25, beginning at 7:30 p.m. The concert is already sold out.

The duo has seen meteoric success over the past couple of years. The video for “Home (I Wanna Go)” was voted No. 1 on CMT Pure for multiple weeks. The video for “These Days,” a song from their new album, which will be released in March, debuted on CMT in November.

“I dig this Eastern Kentucky duo,” music critic Robert K. Oermann said of their latest single. “The singing has just the right blend of drawl, rasp and soul. The song is a splendid country rocker with dandy rhythmic thump.”

Strong fan support currently has put the duo on a southeast regional touring trek, while the momentum has landed them on the eOne Records roster.

Sundy Best will also be making appearance April 4, at the Red Mile’s History Round Barn, in Lexington; May 3, at the Knott County Trail Ride, in Leburn; June 10, at the State FFA Convention, in Lexington; and Aug. 23, at the Frankfort Convention Center, where they will open for Charlie Daniels.
