Dye, Johnson leading South Floyd offense

HI HAT - One South Floyd back has reached a rushing plateau while another is closing in on a passing milestone. South Floyd running back Blake Dye went over 1,000 yards rushing last week. His teammate, South Floyd quarterback Hunter Johnson, should go over 1,000 yards passing in South Floyd’s regular-season finale.

Through nine games, Dye has rushed 147 times for 1,075 yards and 16 touchdowns.

Hunter Johnson has completed 93 of 159 passes for 933 yards,11 touchdowns and seven interceptions in nine games for the Raiders.

As a team, South Floyd has rushed for 2,107 yards.

Darren Tackett has rushed 52 times for 365 yards and two touchdowns. Another South Floyd rusher, Jacob Meade, boasts 361 rushing yards and five touchdowns via 54 carries.

Johnson has rushed 23 times for 133 yards and one touchdown.

Marcus Gayheart leads South Floyd in receiving with 20 catches for 210 yards and two touchdowns.

Brett Daniels has hauled in a team-high four touchdown catches for the Raiders.

Mack Little leads the South Floyd defense with 73 tackles. Ethan Johnson ranks second in tackles with 61 stops.

South Floyd will visit East Ridge on Friday night.
