FOREST HILLS, Ky. – A cross drain replacement on KY Rt. 308, Forest Hills Road, which was postponed from this past Saturday has been rescheduled for Tuesday night, September 10, from 10 p.m. through 6 a.m. Wednesday, September 11.

Shane Hatfield, Superintendent at Highway District 12’s Canada Maintenance facility, said the site is just below Collup’s Heating & Cooling. This means the road will be closed at the work site to all traffic.

In order to replace the drain, the pavement must be cut all the way across the road and the old drain removed. Hatfield said he is sorry for the inconvenience, but pointed out that the work is needed to improve drainage along the highway in this area.
“There is no convenient time for work like this,” Hatfield said. “We rescheduled from last Saturday until Tuesday night because of Belfry Middle School Homecoming and other community activities. Hopefully, fewer people will be inconvenienced from 10 p.m. Tuesday until 6 a.m. Wednesday. We will finish the work as quickly as safety allows.”
