PIKEVILLE – The University of Pikeville women’s soccer team will get a preseason test on the field and get the chance to raise funds for a good cause at 7 p.m. on Aug. 20 against former Mid-South Conference member West Virginia Tech at the Bob Amos Soccer Complex.

While admission to the game is free, the Bears are accepting donations going directly to recovery efforts in the Moulin d’Haiti region recovering from a 7.0 magnitude earthquake in 2010.

T-shirts will be handed out to the first 25 fans at the complex and concessions will be available to purchase during the game.

Pikeville will open regular-season play at home at 5 p.m. on Aug. 30 against Ohio Christian. The Bears’ 2013 schedule will also include matchups versus Ohio Christian, Ohio Valley, Cincinnati Christian, Virginia Intermont, St. Catharine, Benedictine, Bluefield, Bluffton, Cumberlands, Rio Grande, Cumberland, Penn State Beaver, Bob Jones, Campbellsville, Tennessee Temple, Lindsey Wilson, Shawnee State and Georgetown.
