RICHMOND – The Eastern Kentucky University football game at the University of Louisville on Saturday, Sept. 7 will kick off at noon. The game will be broadcast on ESPN3.
This will be the 27th meeting between the two in-state teams with Louisville holding a 17-8-1 lead in the all-time series record. The Cardinals won the most recent meeting against the Colonels, a 23-13 victory in 2010.
Eastern Kentucky is still looking for its first win against an NCAA FBS program under sixth year head coach Dean Hood. Eastern’s last win against an FBS team was at Louisville back in 1985. However, three of EKU’s five losses to FBS competition under Hood have been by 10 points or less.
EKU will kick off the 2013 schedule with a Thursday night home opener against Robert Morris on Aug. 29.
