PAINTSVILLE — National Small Business Week will be celebrated June 17-21. Since the first proclamation was signed by John F. Kennedy in 1963 to officially honor the contributions of small business owners, the face of small businesses have significantly changed.
Morehead State University’s Paintsville Small Business Development Center will celebrate with an open house, recognition of area small businesses and signing of the proclamation at its office located, at 224 Main Street in downtown Paintsville.
The small business open house will be held on June 17, from 11 a.m. - 2 p.m. with representatives from the Paintsville SBDC, MACED, Johnson and Floyd County chambers of commerce present to answer questions for small business owners or person’s interested in small business ownership. Snacks and beverages will be served.
