PRESTONSBURG - Senator Johnny Ray Turner’s Fight “Fore” Multiple Sclerosis Charity Golf Tournament will be held on June 14 at StoneCrest Golf Course. Registration for the 11th Annual Fight Fore MS is slated for 9 a.m. Tee time for Senator Senator Johnny Ray Turner’s Fight “Fore” Multiple Sclerosis Charity Golf Tournament is scheduled for 10 a.m.
All proceeds from the charity golf tournament will benefit the National Multiple Sclerosis Society.
Prizes will include first-place: four golf bags; second-place: four carry bags; third-place: four shoe bags; fourth-place: four rounds of golf at StoneCrest Golf Course; fifth-place: four dozen golf balls.
Breakfast, snacks and dinner will be provided during the charity golf tournament. The event will also include door prizes and longest drive, closest to the pin, putting and chipping contests.
A breakdown of the rules follows.
Tournament rules: Captain’s Choice Scramble; Each player will hit a tee shot; The team will choose the best tee shot and each player will hit from within one club length of that position; If the selected shot is located in the rough, sand, or hazard, etc., next shots must be played from within the rough, sand, or hazard; Continue this until the ball is holed out; Record one score for the team.
Course rules: USGA rules govern all play, except when modified by local rules; Proper golf attire must be worn at all times (collared shirts required, not cut-offs); No carry-on coolers; Slow play will not be tolerated; StoneCrest Golf Course is a soft spikes only facility; All players must register before play.
