PIKEVILLE — A Pikeville native was named a vice president this week at Community Trust Bank.
Mark A. Gooch, president and CEO of Community Trust Bank, announced the decision Wednesday to name Mike Damron to the position of Pikeville Market Assistant Vice President with Community Trust Bank, Inc.
Damron’s duties as branch manager include overseeing the daily operations of his branch office and calling on existing and prospective clients to develop new business and to retain and expand existing business. Damron’s office is located in the Weddington Plaza at 4205 North Mayo Trail in Pikeville.
Damron has been with Community Trust Bank for more than nine years, seven of those years as a loan officer and branch manager. His positions with the company include that of teller, management trainee, loan officer and branch manager.
Damron graduated from Feds Creek High School and earned a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Morehead State University. He is currently pursuing a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree at Morehead. Damron is also a member of the Southeast Kentucky Chamber of Commerce’s Leadership program and is currently a Chamber member. He is a graduate of the Kentucky Banker’s Association General Banking School. Mike Damron resides in Pikeville.
