Clyde Glenn Kennedy, 83, of 1210 West 15th Street, Owensboro, formerly of Prestonsburg, died Thursday, April 25, 2013 at his home in Owensboro.
Clyde Glenn Kennedy was born May 23, 1929, in Hinch, W.Va., to the late William Riley and Martha Chafin Kennedy. He retired as a lab technician for the state Department of Highways and was a member of the Church of Christ. Clyde was an Army Veteran of World War II, an Air Force Veteran during the Korean War, a Mason, and loved to dance.
Survivors include a son, Clyde Glenn Kennedy II, of Ashland; four daughters, Elizabeth Darnell Thompson, of Catlettsburg, Rebecca Denise Garner, of Owensboro, Michelle Elaine Caudill, of Wayland, and Mattie Sue Donta, of Allen; 16 grandchildren; and eight great grandchildren.
A time for sharing memories of Glyde Glenn Kennedy’s life will be held from noon until 5 p.m., Sunday, May 19, at the Jenny Wiley State Park (Lodge - Goldenrod Room) in Prestonsburg. Muster Funeral Homes, Calhoun Chapel is handling the funeral arrangements for the Kennedy family.
