BRISTOL, Tenn. - Dylan Kwasniewski led 96 of 125 laps to win the Drive4COPD 125 NASCAR K&N Pro Series East race Saturday at Bristol Motor Speedway.
“That was awesome,” Krasniewski said. “The car was pretty much just as good at the end of the race as it was at the beginning. It was on rails; it was so good.”
The win was Las Vegas native Krasniewski’s first NASCAR K&N Pro Series – East victory in four starts. But the first-time Bristol winner is anything but a rookie: He was the West Series champion last year with five wins, albeit on decidedly different tracks.
“When I first went out there, you know the rides you spin around in that pushes you to where you don’t have any gravity? That’s pretty much like driving at Bristol,” Kwasniewski said. “The sensation of driving around the track like that is pretty weird, but I definitely took to it pretty quick.”
Brett Moffitt finished second, and Ryan Gifford was third, followed by pole-sitter Michael McGuire and C.J. Faison. Rounding out the top 10 was Gray Gaulding, Eddie MacDonald, Jimmy Weller, Ben Rhodes and Ben Kennedy.
“The outside groove is a lot of fun,” Moffitt said. “There aren’t many tracks you get to run up there, so that was a lot of fun.”
