Roxana Jones Bentley, age 76 of Grethel, widow of the late Claude Bentley, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 6, 2013, at Riverview Healthcare, in Prestonsburg.
She was born Aug. 2, 1936, at Grethel, a daughter of the late James Mattison and Lona Bell Hall Jones. She attended the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah Witness, in Pikeville.
Roxana is survived by three daughters, Denise Stewart, of Lexington, Lucia Ann Hamilton, of Harold, and Stefanie Lynn Bentley, of Stanville; two sisters, Jeanette Pratt, of Columbus, Ohio, and Fostella Mitchell, of Beaver; four grandchildren, Lyndsay Weihe, Jenna Yoder, Brenton Hamilton and Mason Vance; and two great grandchildren, Tatum Weihe and Sophia Claire Hamilton.
In addition to her husband and parents, Roxana was preceded in death by three brothers, Burnis Jones, Shelby Jones and Dennis (Bob) Jones; a sister, Clara Hamilton; and a grandson, Chase Hamilton.
Funeral services for Roxana Jones Bentley will be held at noon, Friday, Feb. 8, in the Hall Funeral Home Chapel, in Martin, with Nathan Thomas officiating. Burial will follow in the Davidson Memorial Gardens, at Ivel.
Visitation will be held from 6 to 10 p.m., Thursday, at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to be made to the Riverview Resident Christmas Fund in Roxana’s honor.
