JoAnn Fouts McCauley, 71, of Melvin, wife of Kermit “Bud” McCauley, died Jan. 27, 2013, at St. Joseph Hospital, in Fort Wayne, Ind.
Born June 8, 1941, at Weeksbury, to the late Jacob and Mary Alice Tackett Fouts, she was a homemaker and a member of the Pentecostal Church.
She is survived by a son, Charles Wayne “Chuck” McCauley, of Weeksbury; a daughter, Elizabeth Bryant, of Huntington, Ind.; two sisters, Loretta Stephens, of Prestonsburg, and Daisy Slone, of Galin, Ohio; four grandchildren; and five great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two sons, Jason Douglas McCauley and Lloyd Tilton McCauley; brothers, Hershell Fouts, Edgil Fouts, Virgil Fouts, Glennis Fouts and Eshmal Fouts; and sisters, Goldie Woody, Lacy Bryant and Gracie Jones.
Funeral services for JoAnn Fouts McCauley will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, Feb. 1, at Wheelwright Freewill Baptist Church, with Louis Ferrari and others officiating. Burial will follow in the Matthew Tackett Cemetery, at Melvin.
Visitation will take place all day, Thursday, at the church.
